Howard Chinese School recruits Chinese and foreign children and adult students aged five and above, and teaches Mandarin (Bilingual), Pinyin and simplified Chinese characters. The school has Chinese classes from kindergarten to grade 10. There are also many elective courses such as painting, children's and adult dance and chorus, Zumba fitness dance, yoga, martial arts, Tai Chi, high school physics competition, Olympic mathematics, high school mathematics competition, robotics, etc.

Howard Chinese School (HCCS) has reached an agreement with Howard Community College (HCC) on a cooperative project to grant college credits for Chinese (grades 9-10) courses. HCC community college credits can be used as basic compulsory credits for undergraduate students and are recognized by most universities. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to use a variety of HCC school facilities like other HCC registered students.
