Howard County Chinese School, founded in December 1998 in Howard County, Maryland, USA, is a non-profit educational institution registered under the laws of the State of Maryland. The school remains firmly committed to non-political and non-religious principles in all of its operations. Howard County Chinese School enrolls heritage and non-heritage children aged four and above, as well as adults, teaching Mandarin, Pinyin, and Simplified Chinese characters. The school offers Chinese language courses from Kindergarten through tenth grade, along with a variety of subsidiary enriching programs, including painting, dance for children and adults, choir, various fitness dances, yoga, martial arts, Tai Chi, FLL/FTC, high school physics competitions, Math Olympiad (for middle and high school students), Go (Weiqi), Hulusi, and ocarina.

特别设立的双语班专为非中文母语学生设计，根据不同年龄组和学生的特殊需求定制课程，着重提供个人及群体口语训练。课程采用中国汉办专为海外学生编写的《阳阳中文 – 对话版》教材，配有拼音及英文注释。

The school regularly hosts a series of community and educational lectures covering topics such as parent-child communication, school education and college applications, personal financial management, and other community hot topics. With the support of various levels of government and local foundations, the school actively carries out a range of community service projects, including community gardens, road and environmental clean-up, community safety, and extracurricular activities for youth, serving both young people and adults.
